Message from Management

Since 2019, OJR, together with OAM, has issued the "Sustainability Report" to communicate our efforts toward realizing a sustainable society to our stakeholders. This year marks the seventh edition of the report, which focuses primarily on our material sustainability issues and the initiatives carried out in FY2024.

On the environmental front, we have developed a "Transition Roadmap" in line with the frameworks of the TCFD and CDP, to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. At present, we are working diligently toward achieving the "OJR 2030 Target" of reducing GHG emissions by 42% by 2030.

In the areas of social and governance, we are focused on strengthening human capital and governance. These efforts include evaluating the effectiveness of the Board of Directors, as well as encouraging greater participation by women and expanding mid-career hiring opportunities as part of our initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). Additionally, we continue to conduct compliance training for all officers and employees to raise awareness by promoting adherence to laws, regulations, and ethical conduct.

Under the Japanese Sustainability Standards Board (SSBJ) standards recently announced, phased implementation will begin with listed companies on the Prime Market from the fiscal year ending March 2027. As a result, companies will be required to provide integrated disclosure of both financial and non-financial information in alignment with the SSBJ standards. OJR will continue to closely monitor the status of applying these standards and advance the preparation of the necessary systems.

Going forward, we will strive to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through real estate asset management, while also working to enhance unitholder value through medium- to long-term growth. We hope this report will provide you with a deeper understanding of our initiatives.
